Modernising and migrating eCommerce platform from WooCommerce to Shopify
The brief
Moving on from a 7 year old WooCommerce website which did an excellent job to a modern Shopify platform for high-performance SaaS eCommerce and the ability to integrate with AI platforms.
Our approach
Working to improve the sales revenue and to take advantage of sales via AI, we looked at the options for design layout and rather than using a bespoke design, we opted for the Habitat theme which offered many out-of-the-box features that the free themes didn’t offer.
Adopting some bespoke features including:
- Multiple colour variations in a single category listing
- Slide-out option for further information
- Integration with Linnworks for inventory planning
Data migration was a key part to ensure the new website retained all the previous product data.
Equally important were page redirects and SEO in preparation for the ongoing work post-live SEO.
